The Great Gold Heist (commonly known as the Rat Event) in Palmon Survival. If you want to secure hundreds of millions of resources in a single day, this is the event to master.
What is the Great Gold Heist (Rat Event)?
The Great Gold Heist is a 3-day event that appears to occur biweekly in Palmon Survival.1
How it Works:
- Spawn Cycle: Every hour, Robber Rats spawn across the map.
- Combat: Attack these rats with your squads.
- The Gilded Brigand: Defeating a Robber Rat has a chance to spawn a Gilded Brigand nearby.
- Rallies: You must launch a rally to defeat Gilded Brigands for the highest tier of rewards.
Event Rewards Breakdown
The rewards for this event are massive and scale based on the level of the Gilded Brigand. Below are the minimum rewards you can expect:
Robber Rat & Brigand Rewards
| Category | Resources (Lumber/Steel/Gold) | Palmon XP | Other Rewards |
| Robber Rat | 385k each | 570k | 1k Mount Feed, 5m Speedup, 10 Stolen Gold |
| Rally Participant | 394k each | 950k | 40 Stolen Gold |
| Rally Lead | 789k each | 1.9M | 2k Mount Feed, 80 Stolen Gold |
| Discoverer Bonus | 789k each | 1.9M | 2k Mount Feed, 20 AP, 200 Stolen Gold |
Pro Tip: Always rally your own discoveries! Being the Rally Lead for a Brigand you discovered gives you the Lead rewards plus the Discoverer bonus, doubling your efficiency.
The Exchange Shop: What to Buy First
During the event, you earn Stolen Gold. You can spend this in the event shop for rare items. Here is the recommended priority list:
- Action Points (AP): Essential for keeping the grind going.
- Mount Shoes: High-value progression item.
- Speedups: Always useful for growth.
- Optional: Palmon Eggs, Resources, or Temperite (for equipment leveling).
Note: Stolen Gold carries over to the next event, so you can save it if you are too busy to play during a specific week.
Two Methods for Maximum Efficiency
There are two primary ways to play this event, depending on your goals and AP availability.
Method 1: Staying in the Guild Hive
- Pros: You can join allied rallies instantly and they can join yours quickly. Joining allied rallies costs zero AP.
- Cons: Rats near the hive are highly contested. You will hit fewer rats, meaning you discover fewer Brigands yourself.
Method 2: Teleporting Out (The “Solo” Method)
Teleport about 100km to 250km (2–4 minutes) away from the hive into an open space.
- Pros: Access to rats that your guildmates can’t reach. More rats hit = more resources and more Gilded Brigand discoveries.
- Cons: Extremely AP-intensive. Rallies take longer to fill because of the travel distance, and you might miss out on rallies happening back at the hive.
The Hybrid Strategy: Stay in the hive during peak hours when most allies are online to join their rallies. Teleport out during “downtime” to hunt rats and lead your own rallies.
The Do’s and Don’ts of the Rat Event
✅ DO
- Check “My Discoveries”: Go to the event page to see if you have any Gilded Brigands waiting to be rallied.
- Keep a Squad Ready: Keep at least one squad in your base at all times so you can join allied rallies the second they pop up.
- Time Your Hunts: Be ready at the start of every hour when the rats respawn.
❌ DON’T
- Don’t “Steal” Rallies: Never rally an ally’s Gilded Brigand without permission. The discoverer has dibs.
- Exception: If the Brigand has less than 1 hour left before it despawns, it is generally considered “free game” for anyone to rally.
- Don’t Snatch Targets: If you see a line (march) already going toward a Robber Rat, find a different one.
